Introduced in 1947, this was the first of Lionel's GG-1s. It features a powerful motor, reverse unit, light, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels.This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This locomotive has been repainted previously and custom decorated with decals. Both the lettering and numbers have been replaced. Also, it was originally a 2332 but has been renumbered to 2330. There are several nicks and scratches on this locomotive. A few metal trim parts are rusting. This item does work. The motor brushes, wheels, and collectors have been cleaned on this locomotive. The horn is a vibrating coil over sound boxtype.The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included.
