Up for bid is a vintage lionel 2343 AA set. Overall good condition with nothing broken or missing. Set runs good, eunit functions well most of the time (sticks for a moment when hot sometimes.) and the horn works though it is a newer horn. The original stopped a while back, so I replaced it. Chassis are clean as the pictures show. The horns and windows have been replaced with new lionel parts, along with the port holes. The unique thing about these, as one of the pictures shows, is that the pilots are fixed. They no longer turn with the trucks and are actually mounted to the frame with 2 countersunk screws. This was something I did to them a while back and it looks really sharp. Turning radius is not reduced and it doesn't affect the way the engines run. I fully serviced the engine when I got it. All questionable wiring replaced and the gears cleaned and greased. They will come packed in a new lionel box. Please ask any questions about these engines before bidding. Due to the age of the trains they are sold as is. Thanks.
