Lionel 1930's vintage passenger set featuring a 252 electric style locomotive, two 529 coaches and a 530 observation car. The set is original and complete, and in excellent condition. All original parts except for the locomotive wheels which may be replaced. All the couplers and one set of wheels on one of the 529's have some rust that could be cleaned off. I don't know if the engine runs as I don't have a layout, but the wiring inside the engine looks pretty good so it may run. The lettering and window material are very strong. All the cars have the oiling instruction labels on the bottom side. The original boxes (or what's left of them) are also included. All four boxes are there, but the end flaps are mostly gone or torn off, and they are folded flat. The boxes could be taped back together but I'll leave that decision to the next owner. There is a lose end flap that says "No. 252 Terra Cotta", as well as flaps for both passenger car numbers in this color, so these are the correct boxes for this set. This is a very attractive color combination and it displays very well in this condition. I hope the next owner will enjoy this set as I have.
