LIONEL 2531, 2532, 2533, 2534 SILVER ALUMINUM "SPEEDLINER" PASSENGER CAR SET LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of a set of 4 Lionel extruded aluminum passenger cars made in the 1952-60 time period as part of the Santa Fe Speedliner Passenger Train Set. Included in the set is the 2531 Silver Dawn Observation, the 2532 Silver Range Vista Dome, the 2533Silver cloud Pullman and the 2534 Silver Bluff Pullman. Cars all have the all metal wheels with automatic couplers, interior lights and the entire set is all original Post War Lionel. This is the hex head rivet version set. Check out my other auctions as I also have up for auction a baggage car for this set as well as a set of Santa Fe 2343 F3s to pull all these cars. DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: All 4 cars are just in great shape, no cracks, breaks, or chips, no rust or dents, great silver-aluminum color, trucks and couplers in great shape, lettering still looks fine. Very minor rubs and scratches on the aluminum bodies and ends. Again a great looking set that IMHO I would rate as in excellent condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge. WORKING CONDITION: I checked out the interior lights and they all work fine.
