Here is a nice vintage Lionel Prewar 260E steam locomotive and tender from the 1930s. When produced, this was the top of the line O gauge locomotive offered. This engine features automatic reverse, headlight, firebox light, and "chugger" sound; all of which still work. As far as I can see, this loco and tender are all original, except for the coupler on the tender. Even the loco wheels are still original, and are not warped or broken, which is nothing short of a miracle! I was fortunate enough to buy this directly from the original owner! It still ran and reversed when I tested it. Like any used toy this age, there are some nicks and scratches. However, this set makes a good appearance with nice colors and graphics. I see the following minor issues: 1. Locomotive is missing 3 of the small handrail clips on the boiler (replacements are under 50 cents each, and easy to install). 2. Coupler on tender had gone missing. Original owner had another coupler, but no "triangle base-plate" for it, so he fabricated his own base plate years ago. It works fine, and I saw no need to mess with it. However, I will include a proper Lionel replacement base plate with the tender, in case you want it 100% stock original.
