Lionel 261/261 prewar train wreck: Motor survived and tested well - motor still runs like a banchee - tracks straight - no wobble or hula dance while going down the tracks; even with just one pickup roller. Has not been tested on switches that may or may not pose a problem to the single roller pickup situation - replacement pickup parts are available, either single or double roller, and sufficient copper pickup plate remains that would allow a quick fix single roller to be soldered in place using a moderate skill level - or replace the entire double roller with a reproduction part - not necessary - but could easily be done. The remaining train wreck parts - frame front/back (with remaining trim parts), separate connecting sides (appear to be from another wreck - but fill the gap-somewhat, that would require a considerable skill level to attach and make the frame whole. Boiler front (marked 261 but used for several different prewar locomotives) is original and useable, red/green running light lenses are present and 2 red running lights are present in the upper portion of the boiler front (brass headlight ring and lens are missing), steam chest has been repaired with epoxy and brass channel stock.
