This is an auction for a Lionel Prewar Standard gauge 318E locomotive.This train engine was restored by me several years ago and is in nice condition. All of the brass has been shined and coated with lacquer. It has reproduction headlights on it as well. the combination latch couplers are original and work fine. I do see on scratch on the roof of the loco. It is visible, but isn't through the black paint. The original Lionel; Super Motor has been rewheeled with Bowser wheels. The few problems I see are as follows. The loco has plates for a 318E. When I bought the shell, I didn't have a super motor with an E-unit so I used a regular Super Motor with no reverse unit. Since it was incorrect anyway, I didn't put a hand reverse switch in it either. Therefore, it is wired to only go in one direction. That could be easily remedied though. I also notice that the pinion gear is slipping on the armature shaft. I will try my best to fix that before it is shipped out to it's new owner. I won'tt guarantee that fix though.
