Made From 1949 through 1952, item is one of Lionel's early postwar operating boxcars. When placed over an operating track section, door opens up when button is pushed and man appears.
Item is all original. Very clean. Car has bright burnt orange finish with white NYC logo. Nothing missing or broken. No chips or scratches. Shiny black painted finish on frame. Works great.
Box is firm with great color. Slight surface damage to one end flap. (See Photos) Some slight browning and corner wear. Both end flaps and tabs are present as well as both coupler spacer flaps. Missing 1 interior side flap.
