This is one of the best operating of the Military/Space cars that Lionel produced throughout the sixties. You wind up the spring loaded launcher mechanism on the car and then set the satellite on it. Then you can either you can either manually hit the trigger button, or activate it remotely from any electromagnet equipped remote control track (see the 6019 or UCS tracks), and the satellite launches. Typically these will actually launch 10 to 15 feet in the air if you wind it tight enough. Almost high enough to orbit your layout! This launching car features plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This satellite is a reproduction. The flatcar has a few scratches and marks. T is a scratch thru several letters on one side. It clearly shows signs of use, but it is complete and fully functional. Overall condition is Very Good-plus. This item was inspected by both our Authorized Lionel Service Station and we guarantee this item is completely functional and operable. Please see the inspection card for details.
