This is one of the best operating of the Military/Space cars that Lionel produced throughout the sixties. You wind up the spring loaded launcher mechanism on the car and then set the satellite on it. Then you can either you can either manually hit the trigger button, or activate it remotely from any electromagnet equipped remote control track (see the 6019 or UCS tracks), and the satellite launches. Typically these will actually launch 10 to 15 feet in the air if you wind it tight enough. Almost high enough to orbit your layout!
