Lionel #3530 Electro Mobile Power Box Car With Telephone Pole & Searchlight. Sold AS-IS. The box car is missing the idler truck wheels but the contact truck assembly is in good condition. The plastic fuel tank on the bottom has been damaged by melting with a soldering iron. Please see photos The telephone Pole is in good condiiton and needs new ends on the wires. Please see the photos. The searchlight is mssing the clear plastic lens. I've looked everywhere but can't find it. please see the photos. The set is one owner and may be only good to you for parts or to combine with another #3530 Car to make one whole unit. The fan in the car should be in good working condiiton but I haven't tested it yet. They have been in our family since the mid 40's. History The 3530 Electro Mobile Power Box Car is another innovative train designed by Lionel. The concept is based upon a mobile power station -- located in a box car -- being available to the railroad for emergency situations. Lionel's model is a good representation of a mobile power supply. It connects to a telephone pole which in turn illuminates a searchlight. Within the box car there is a light and rotating fan blade. When operating, the illusion of the light and rotating blade appears as thought there is someone actualy operating and working within the car. Features Standard
