Up for auction is an empty pre-war set box for a Standard Gauge Lionel Train Outfit. It is large and measures 21" x 18" x 6". I've taken pictures of the top (first and last picture); the 4 sides, the inside of the base and the bottom of the base. The top has 2 of its 4 edges in tact and 2 are torn (see picture 8). Also, there is a piece missing on one end - (see picture 8, again). I've said it is set No. 362E which is shown on the graphic in picture 8 - I've relative sure of the number but can not guarantee it. It might be 382E, the middle number is a bit hard to make out. Of interest, the box is also stamped (above the graphic on the side (picture 8) that it is "Brown Ivory" I mention this because I've also listed tonight 2 Standarg Gauge cars that are labled Brown Ivory and since I bought them from the same supplier, I suppose these cars were in this box. It is also possible that the 384E engine that I also listed tonight was then engine for this set as it was also in this box. This is still a sturdy box even though it shows shelf wear on all edges.
