Up for action is a Lionel #375 Motorized Turntable. It was produced from 1962-1964 and is powered by two ‘D-Cell’ batteries. It rotates around on a single frame of track. The turntable is all original except for the reproduction track adapters, see pictures. It is in like new condition with no rust. I bought it for my layout and collection. I have never been able to work it in to my layout. Thus, it sat in the box in my display case since then. The battery powered motor has been tested and is fully functional. It is recommended that the turntable be set up on a board on its own. In the Lionel ‘A Collector’s Guide and History, Volume II – Postwar’ by Tom McComas and James Touhy, they state ‘ it operated well.’ It has a brown battery box that looks like new, the copper contacts inside are very high gloss and it appears like there has never been a battery in there. There are no cracks and nothing is broken, the motor looks like new. The four conductor brown/red/blue/green wires are stripped at the end are like new. There are two 180 degree curve tracks to follow and the platform with the straight track looks like new. The yellow shack is like new and the body clips are unbroken. There is an envelope #375-73 that contains the 8 plastic track adapters and the other envelope #375-68 is for the component parts that are all accounted for. read more
