Lionel 6-38607 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Locomotive with Matching Tender in Southern Livery - Cab No. 2718 I am "thinning out the herd" of my locomotives and selling those I no longer use or want. This locomotive is in good used condition and runs well in both forward and reverse. Lights, whistle, bell, steam chuffing all work - has Railsounds sound system in tender. I do not know how to activate all the different sounds because I no longer have the owner's manual. The tightest radius curve on my layout is O-36 (Lionel claims will navigate O-27). Transformer Controlled Forward-Neutral-Reverse direction control Puffing smoke unit Diecast metal locomotive and tender body Powerful maintenance-free motor All sounds are contained in the tender body - no electrical tether required to the locomotive (9v battery installed in tender) Sounds can be switched between Railsounds and Signal Sounds Volume control in tender functions properly Four driven wheels per side with two traction tires (one per side) Smoke unit switch and Run/Program switch located in the crew cab - easy to see and change Engineer and Fireman figures This locomotive easily pulls my 7-car MTH Railking streamlined Southern Railway passenger cars.
