While it is technically motorized, none of the 3927æs wheels are self-propelled and it must be pulled around the track by a locomotive. The motor powers the spinning sponge underneath the unit and the spring-loaded wipers on the rear clean off any remaining residue. It also features a die-cast fixed knuckle coupler, metal wheels & axles. This car has a few scratches on the metal frame. The extra sponge is not included. However, the lettering is complete and has not faded. It is all original with no reproduction parts. Inspected by both our in-house Lionel Postwar experts and by our Authorized Lionel Service Station, we guarantee this item is completely functional and operable.
