Lionel 622-100 Motor (Switcher/Alco/GGI) LN Item Description: Above you will find a multi-view picture of a 622-100 motor as used by Lionel in all of their heavy switchers such as the 622, 623, 624 etc., as well as in all of the heavy Alco's and 2330 to 2360 GGI's. The 622-100 is a modified version of the 622-100X motor from 1949 version of the 622 Bell Ringing Switcher. The change involved the addition of a raised area at the base of the motor base casting that allowed it to turn on the frame more easily. The majority of the motors we will be offering came from Lionel's own service station stocks in Little Falls, New Jersey or from Madison Hardware. Most are brand new and unused and some appear to have been recovered from incomplete manufacturing units. In all cases, we have taken them all apart to check everything from the armature and windings, right down to the bearings and brushes. When we are finished, they are test run and ready for your installation. Aren't you tired of junk recovered from run out engines? Sure, you won't buy one of these for $20 or $25, but remember, it operates properly in forward and reverse and requires nothing from you but installation!
