6464-475 TYPE 4 BOSTON & MAINE BOXCAR (1965-68) IN EXCELLENT C7 CONDITION! This car is in excellent condition. One side has a light scratch around the area of the build date. There is also a tiny chip in the roof. Though this is the 1960's version, it has die cast, bar-end trucks. This probably means that this car was from the very late 1960s when Lionel was trying to clear out the factory and didn't care what went with what! Please check out the photos. No box. General information:The 1960 - 1969 production used the type 4 body mold with the second and third rivet columns tothe left of the door - each having only three rivets at the top and two at the bottom. This was alsoused to produce a dated car. These cars were painted either medium blue or dark blue (almostpurple shade of blue) but the 1968 production run was unpainted. There were three full columnsof rivets to the right of the door and the interior of the roof was ribbed. The heat-stampedmarkings on the car included "BLT 2-57 BY LIONEL". 15270-1EX .
