This is a Lionel 6465 Sunoco Double Dome Tank Car. The 6465 Sunoco was one of the triumverate of Lionel freight cars that seemed to show up in nearly every train set from 1948 to 1955 [the others being the 6462 NYC Gondola and the 6456 Lehigh Valley Hopper]. This tank car features die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This car has quite a few nicks and scratches but the lettering is still legible and the trucks and wheels look good. This item has been inspected and serviced by our authorized Lionel service station. Please see picture for service details. Overall condition is Excellent -. The Trainz SKU for this item is 3201255.
