This is a Lionel 6465 Sunoco Double Dome Tank Car. The 6465 Sunoco was one of the triumverate of Lionel freight cars that seemed to show up in nearly every train set from 1948 to 1955 [the others being the 6462 NYC Gondola and the 6456 Lehigh Valley Hopper]. This tank car features die-cast staple-end trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This tank car has a few nicks and scratches, as well as some light dust spots. One of the couplings was bent and has been repaired, and the decals look very nice. This item has been inspected and serviced by our authorized Lionel service station.
