My objective: To find, fix, rehabilitate, & list at least one Post War LIONEL Loco and/or Whistle Tender a week (until planting season). PLEASE: Double Lionel 671RR Steam Turbine circa 1946. This locomotive was only issued in 1952. It has the proper shell and a chassis with the Worm Drive Motor and Transmission. The engine has the spoke wheels, an operational pill-type smoke chamber with a new spring-return modification done during its tune up, an operational headlight, and new rear truck and roller pick ups. This loco is completely operational and seems in really good shape. The loco’s wheels were cleaned, the motor was tuned, the E-unit serviced, the drive train lubed and greased on March 10, 2011. The paint is in really good shape. There are some minor chips and paint rubbing in the high spots. This is for the operator. There is a minor bend to the corner of the front steps done by me around 1954. I dropped it. My father nearly killed me. And, who could blame him! Lionel Lines 2046W Whistle Tender is the original companion to the 671 RR. The tender’s motor was serviced, the wheels cleaned, the pick-ups or rollers polished, the impelled shaft lubed on March 10, 2011. It is a good air whistle.
