The 6800 Airplane Car is an attractive and popular freight car and was produced for four years in the late 1950‘s. Like most postwar Lionel flatcars with loads, the value with this freight car is the airplane. Locating the flatcar is easy, but locating a complete and undamaged airplane is difficult. The plane has folding wings. The car has die-cast trucks and operating couplers, metal wheels and axles. The airplane is not original and is modern. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
