Here is a nice Lionel #726 Berkshire Steam Engine with the #2426W Tender. This is a nice example of the #726 engine made by Lionel in the late 1940s. The engine is clean and in nice shape with no cracks, breaks, or rust. The wheels and rods show a nice bright finish. The engine shows some signs of use and run time. Lights up and runs well in forward and reverse. The 726 cab number is bold and complete on both sides. One jewel is missing from the right side and there is a very slight bend in the cab edge that can be seen if you look closely. The #2426W Tender is the desirable die cast tender that combines well with this engine. The tender is clean and complete with all steps and rails. No cracks, breaks, or rust on the tender and the rails have a nice shine to them. The tender whistle operated when tested. The engine and tender were stored away for many years so a servicing is recommended if you wish to operate them. This engine will display very well and will be a nice addition to your collection or layout.
