Lionel 736 2-8-4 Steam Locomotive 2046W Tender, offered many years by Lionelfrom 1950-66, Berkshire configuration. Locomotive: runs fine in forward and reverse, seems to run a little faster in reverse, reverse unit works fine, headlight works fine, smoke unit seemed to be working ok, there is a small chip out of the right rear corner of the cab roof (see photo), otherwise there is nothing cracked or broken, pilot is fine, marker lights are fine, running gear has some tarnish, body is a nice black color, there are some minor nicks and rub marks but overall looks pretty good, it's a neat looking engine and heavy! Tender, tender is 2046W, whistle is nice and loud, it seems to go off once in a while when just running the engine, also note that when the whistle is activated (using a ZW) that the locomotive will stop, not sure what cause this but I've had it happen before on other engines, tender body is fine, all four steps are fine, coupler works fine, marked "Lionel Line" on both sides, marked "2046W" on the bottom. Locomotive Box: box is marked "736-20" and made by the Kieckhefer Container Co., Delair N.J., box is nice and square with all flaps and also has the internal packing.
