Up for bidding is an Original Lionel 773 with a 2464W whistling tender. This massive Postwar beauty was Manufactured by Lionel in 1964. The famous 773 is known as the largest Hudson steamer Lionel produced during the golden Postwar years of trains. This engine and tender are in great shape. I see no broken parts, nicks or scrapes. There is a rub on one of the steam chests(see pic#3). I feel the rub is not offensive(see pic#2). This is one nice 773 as it shows little use. This 773 Engine was offered by Lionel with a plastic tender in 1964, we have teamed this massive Hudson with the die-cast 2464W tender which came with the 1950 version of the same locomotive. This tender is a gem. Really! The lettering is complete, crisp and bright. There are no scratches, cracks, brakes of dents. The grab bars are all complete and in great shape being straight and true. The steps are all present and have no issues. The engine and tender together are top of the line! We tested the engine on our test track for F-N-R and it was as smooth as can be. The tender was tested for the whistle and coupler operation and both worked. I think that this is a destined to be a display piece as both engine and tender are that nice. This would make a great addition to your Lionel collection. Good luck bidding. Thank you for viewing our listing. We do combine shipping.
