A very nice eBay shopper indicated it might be a repainted American Flyer S Scale #312 or 313. This might help in making a decision to add to your train line.I don't know a lot about the model train industry, will try to give the best description I can.-There is no maker or date listed on the locomotive, nor the scale of the piece.-The silver color locomotive has scuffs and bruises on the paint, soil and patina on the locomotive, it is from an estate in our lower valley, I brushed off a lot of the dirt but didn't want to wash with water. Some rust on the front of the engine. The details are all good. I don't see any missing parts and pieces, wheels all under the cars, knuckle hitch on the coal car. -Patent # on the bottom is 2, 348, 616. Number on the front wheels is PA 19912. There is a number on the front of the locomotive, 5688. The second number is hard to make out. -The engine and coal car weight 3.8# without the packing and box.
