Offered for sale is a complete set No. 6-1663 Lionel Amtrak Lake Shore Limited including the original box and catalog.This set was up and running in my home prior to this listing.The Alco A diesel engine is in excellent condition, reverses properly and the light is operating.The cars, 6403,6404,6405 and 6406 are in excellent condition with all lights functioning.All passenger cars have operating couplers.The Trainmaster transformer is listed as having a safety plug and circuit breaker. It has plenty of power to achieve max speed and power auxiliary equipment.A historical note: The transformer is listed as being 7.5VA and this is also printed on the box and instruction sheet. I discussed this with Lionel support and this was evidently an error. The transformer they believe is rated at 75VA .Evidently a displaced decimal point.Also included are eight curved track and four straight track, track connector and hook up wire.Everything needed to set up and run the train is included the same as in the original set.The 1976 catalog is in like new condition and shows the complete set. The box is structurally sound but cosmetically has rub marks and pieces of tape from prior shipment.The plastic insert within the box was no longer usable and has been replaced with corrugated separators.Shipment will be in the original box shown, carefully packed read more
