Up for bid "Lionel Early Postwar Metal Passenger Cars(Lot of 2)" (Please review entire listing so there is no misunderstanding of presented items) Nice pairing of early Post War cars adds for the retro passenger service of the layout . Production date of 1946-1947 - These metal cars are in really good shape. Car numbers 2430 and 2431 .Some chips and scratches with minimal oxidation/rust overall. There are no broken or missing pieces noted.Overall cleaning of the cars required. Research indicates these cars came with plain window inserts. These do not. Staple end trucks and closed coil couplers/slideshoes in overall good condition. Couplers tested operating.R olled on rails a little stiff may need a drop of lube. Car # 2431 roof appears to be replaced or restored not too sure. Car #2430 has no orignal box Car# 2431 has original box sides only no ends or flaps (rough) Please revew the photos for more details.
