This is for a VTG Lionel HO D&RGW 78573 Rio Grande Stock Car + livestock. Plus, I am adding an extra vintage tiny metal passenger car train/toy. This Lionel is a hard to find in near mint condition Lionel Stock Car. You get these cute critters with this train. Doors open and shut easily. Says Lionel on the bottom. Needs a little cleaning. When my sister passed away in Venice in 2005 I had all of her things shipped back to me and these trains and accessories were in a stack of the boxes I opened. This is the freebie tiny train I am throwing in. Very nice! I do not know how to grade condition. I am starting with a low opening bid in keeping with the true spirit of an auction. I was living in Padova, Italy in the early 70's with my husband and children. My little sister, only 19 at the time, came to visit me from the States. She decided to take a train ride to Venice by herself and there she met, Paolo. He was quite a bit older but he intrigued her. He was working on his Venetian sailboat. She approached him and asked half jokingly if he would give her a ride on his sailboat. He did and he took her around to all of the islands. He spoke little English and she spoke no Italian but there was something there. She had just come from a traumatic situation in the States. Her fiance had died suddenly and she was devastated. Paolo was the distraction she needed. She said he was a gentleman, old school, would not let her pay for anying and she enjoyed the quiet between them.
