Quality work is NEVER an accident, but the result of high intentions and a sincere effort. Having serviced Lionel transformers for almost 30 years for some of the finest Chicago area hobby shops, you are assured of receiving a fully functional transformer, check my feedback! Selling and reparing of transformers is my specialty! Here's another clean quiet Loose Laminated Core core KW and is almost noiseless because I took the time to remove all the coil laminations that Lionel didn't install properly and re-installed properly resulting in a very low current draw! This is the harder to find model that has bakelite push buttons for reversing instead of the more common chrome! Both rollers were replaced using a Lionel rivet press and both roller holders were aligned to a clean secondary coil maintaining a 'air gap" between the moving arms. Max. voltage output 19.8 indicating that all coil laminations are CLEAN, 25.0 when using whistle! The power cord also was replaced and if any terminal posts were loose or non-conducting, they were replaced w/solid rivet type and has 6 original terminal nuts! The bulb cover was replaced w/later TRANSLUCENT red so it will be easier to spot should the circuit breaker open and even the circuit breaker was replaced.
