THE NORTHERN PACIFIC SERVICE STATION SPECIAL FREIGHT SET.... Featuring a powerful GP-9 diesel engine, this SSS Set was produced by Lionel in 1976. This set Includes: #8666 NORTHERN PACIFIC GP-9 DIESEL with PulMor motor, operating headlight, metal trucks and three position reverse unit. #9775 MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. LOUIS BOX CAR #9776 SOUTHERN PACIFIC "OVERNIGHT" BOXCAR #9267 ALCOA ALUMINUM QUAD HOPPER #9869 SANTA FE REFRIGERATOR CAR #9177 NORTHERN PACIFIC BAY WINDOW CABOOSE The Northern Pacific Service Station Set was the first to include Standard O sprung trucks on the rolling stock. This limited edition collector set is in Brand New condition with no signs of use other than perhaps a test run. A nice set box. Inner rolling stock boxes are in excellent condition. No track or transformer.
