RESTORATION REQUIRED" bidding on a LIONEL NUMBER 254 in "O" GAUGE 1924-34 era ,this tinplate locomotive needs some TLC all parts can be obtained from your local parts TCA dealer or favorite supply source for tinplate parts . Mojave was orginal color for this locomotive; the plus side of the # 254 . locomotive does run but should get a tuneup on this historic locomotive. All cars were orginally painted in a mojave color they need to be repainted and dry transfers applyed , sorry to say they were repainted with common house paint .All cars and locomotive can be saved with proper restoration ,the passenger cars are the 600 series of the 1926-30 pre-war period .Cars and locomotive have no serious dents just a bad paint job.
