Reasonable opening bid and no reserve. For auction is an original Lionel 2321-82 Lackawanna FM box with its original insert. Both the gray-top and the maroon-top Lackawanna FMs came in the 2321-82 numbered box. You are bidding on the box and insert only as pictured; there is no FM diesel as part of this auction. The box is a brick. It has great color and has all its end flaps. There are no holes. It has the letters “UP” on one side written lightly in ink, and a double circle-ellipse drawn lightly on another side. It has the price “39.95” on two price stickers on one end. On the sealed end it has “2321” faintly rubber stamped from the factory, and the price "39.95" written in small letters. Except for the writing, this box looks pretty much like it came right off the toy store shelf in 1954 or 1955. The insert is in really nice shape as well. I'd rate this box as excellent-plus to like new except for the “UP” and the circle-ellipse; I’d rate the insert the same. But please let the pictures be your final guide to determine condition.
