Magnificent colors and finish that look straight from the factory! PRESENTING THE ELUSIVE 629 “BURLINGTON” ENGINE. Extremely high-grade Mint+ condition! IN DAVID DOYLE’S BOOK “STANDARD CATALOG OF LIONEL TRAINS 1945-1969” SEE PAGE 70 WHERE IT STATES THAT THIS IS EASILY THE MOST DESIRABLE OF THE 44-TON SWITCHERS. IT IS RATED A RARITY OF 7 ON A SCALE OF 1-8 WITH 8 BEING THE RAREST. THE BOOK STATES THAT THESE ARE USUALLY FOUND WITH DULL OR SCRATCHED PAINT. THIS PIECE HAS PRISTINE BRIGHT SILVER WITH NO SCRATCHES OR FINGERPRINTS! THE ORIGINAL “BURLINGTON ROUTE 629” HERALDS ARE 100% INTACT. **SEE PHOTOS** ** NOTE** I HAVE THE CORRECT 629 LIONEL DIESEL SWITCHER INSTRUCTION SHEET WITH THIS PIECE, I FORGOT TO PUT THE INSTRUCTION SHEET IN THE PHOTO. IT IS A GRADE 9 INSTRUCTION SHEET. THIS PIECE ALSO HAS THE HIGH-GRADE LIONEL WRAPPING PAPER, AND THE 1956 "LIONEL SERVICE STATION BOOKLET". NOTE: THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THERE ARE NO CRACKS BY THE SCREW ON THE END, THIS PIECE IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITHOUT SCREW CRACKS!
