WE PRESENT THE FAMOUS “NYC TWIN DIESEL ANNIVERSARY” SET 2171W FROM 1950.THIS SET IS EXTREMELY RARE IN MINT+ AND UN-RUN *** PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING*** LIONEL POST-WAR SET NUMBER 2171W NYC F-3 ENGINE FREIGHT SET FROM 1950 WITH ALL OF THE EXTRAS, BELLS AND WHISTLES! THIS SET COMES WITH SOME RARE PIECES, SUCH AS THE 6520 WITH MAROON GENERATOR. THE SET IS ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE RIGHT DOWN TO THE TUBE OF LUBRICANT, AND IN MINT+ AND UN-RUN CONDITION! THIS SET HAS THE TYPE F-3 2344 F-3 ENGINES WITH THE ORIGINAL “NEW YORK CENTRAL” DECALS 100% INTACT, THE LARGE “GM” DECALS, AND THE ORIGINAL FISH-EYE PORTHOLE WINDOWS. THESE ORIGINAL PORTHOLE WINDOWS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! THE ENGINES HAVE THE ORIGINAL IMMACULATE FINISH. THE 2344 NYC F-3 ENGINES ARE IN PRISTINE TWO-TONE GRAY WITH BRIGHT WHITE MATCHING STRIPING THAT ARE 100% INTACT. THIS IS A VERY RARE SET IN THIS CONDITION! IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND STRIPING AND HEAT-STAMPED LETTERING THIS NICE! THE HEAT-STAMPED LETTERING IS DEEP AND CRISP, AND VERY BRIGHT. The trains are in MINT+ condition, with original boxes, extra paperwork, and TOTALLY UN-RUN. The cars all have the correct staple-end trucks. Spectacular high-grade pieces of Lionel’s 1950 ANNIVERSARY HIGH-DETAILED SETS with high-grade rare original boxes, and set box! THIS IS ONE OF LIONEL’S LARGEST SETS FROM THE 1950 ANNIVARSARY POST-WAR ERA. THE 2344 F-3’S HAVE THE GREATEST MATCHING PATINA I HAVE SEEN! THIS WAS ONE OF THE LARGEST SETS FOR LIONEL’S 1950 YEAR, AND IS ONE OF THE RAREST TO FIND IN UN-RUN CONDITION, WITH ALL OF THE PAPERWORK, AND MANY EXTRAS. THIS IS NOT A PUT-TOGETHER SET. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL, WITH ALL OF THE BOXES MATCHING IN COLOR. THE PAPERWORK ALSO IS CORRECT TO THE SET. I MAKE SURE OF THIS BY CHECKING OUT EACH PIECE, RIGHT DOWN TO THE TUBE OF LUBE. The 2344 A-A F-3’s have pristine roofs and sides, with bright white stripes that are 100% intact! The original nose decals are 100% intact. The white heat-stamped lettering is bold and crisp. There is no corrosion on the battery cover, or horn, or other metal parts. The freight cars are as follows: The 6520 Searchlight Car has a pristine very rich grey body. THIS IS THE VERSION WITH THE MAROON GENERATOR. The car is Mint+ and un-run. The 3469X Automatic Dump Car has a magnificent black body with bright white lettering. This is the highest grade 3469X car I have ever seen. This car is also Mint+ and un-run. The 3464 NYC Automated Box Car is in rich burnt-orange with original man. The doors are the original chemically treated metal doors. It has the box insert. This car is also Mint+ and un-run. The 3461X Automatic Log Car has a perfect body with white lettering. It also comes with the un-stained logs.. Again the car is Mint+ and un-run. The 6457 Illuminated Lionel SP-type Caboose is in rich immaculate brown white heat-stamped lettering. The car has the correct unpainted smoke-stack. This car also is Mint+ and un-run. This spectacular set comes with an un-used UCS Remote control Track Set with Mint un-used wiring. The wiring is still flexible THE Lionel Tube of lubricant HAS THE CORRECT METAL CAP (1950), and has a CTC un-used lock-on, and inspection sticker. THIS SET COMES WITH THE HIGHEST GRADE BOXES AND PAPERWORK THAT I HAVE SEEN WITH A LARGE FREIGHT 1950 ANNIVERSARY SET!
