My objective: To find, fix, rehabilitate, & list at least one Pre or Post War Era LIONEL Loco and/or Whistle Tender a week (until planting season). PLEASE: Double This auction is for a Post War Lionel 2026 Prairie 2-6-4 Smoking Loco. This unit is for the operator. 20 26 Steam Engine: This Prairie style steam loco is considered a good medium-sized steam engine. It shares its body style with the 2016, 2018, 2029, 2036, 2037 and 637 locomotives. This features a 3-position E-unit, operating headlight, and an operational pill-type smoke chamber. This class of medium size Lionel locomotives is a smooth running locomotive from the early fifties. The engine is in good condition. The motor and E-unit were continuity checked, cleaned, oiled, silicon treated, and lithium greased, and the motor's armature polished on July 1, 2013. It is completely operational. I tested it on my track, and everything works. Most importantly, this locomotive cycled through forward, neutral and reverse, and ran smooth, quiet, and strong. It has the same transverse motor as the 224, 1666, 675, 2025, and the 2056. It pulled 7 cars and a whistle tender up a 3 percent grade on my test track. This engine will operate on either 027 or “O” Gauge track. Overall, the unit is in decent condition. I would rate it around C-5: Good. You can see the pics. There are no missing read more
