THIS IS A TRAIN HIGHLIGHT FOR EBAY THIS WEEK! EXTREMLY RARE VERSION “ORANGE SHELL WITH RAISED MOLDED CAB DOOR LADDERS” OF THE LIONEL POST-WAR 2379 RIO GRANDE F-3 A-B UNITS, IN MINT+ CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL BOXES, 1957 CATALOG, AND EXTRA PAPERS! Spectacular matching pair! RIO GRANDE 2379 F-3 A-B Units, in matching fresh from the factory condition! THE RARITY OF THIS SET IS THE ELUSIVE “A” UNIT SHELL, WHICH IS IN ORANGE, AND HAS THICK RAISED MOLDED CAB DOOR LADDERS! ORANGE SHELL 2379 RIO’S ARE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MINT.Other things that make these Mint engines so special are the awesome roofs, original perfect decal, crisp heat-stamping, and totally un-run engines! AND THE PIN-STRIPPING ON THE SIDES ARE VERY CLEAR AND NOT SMEARED FROM FINGER-PRINTS, AS YOU USUALLY FIND THEM! The nose decal is original and 100% intact and the nicest I have seen. **Kindly look at the photos. The sides of the trains are matching and bright-colored. No discoloration when comparing one side of engine to the other. Heat-stamped lettering and numbers are not smeared and are crisp, clear, and original. Fantastic silver roofs that are pristine and matching.****Please look at the photos! AWESOME PAIR OF F-3’s! The “A” unit has a magnificent frame pilot. No rust or corrosion on original horns, ladders or battery cover. A big plus is the original Lionel waxed wrapping paper, Lionel Service Station Manual, 1957 Lionel Consumer Catalog, DATED Instruction sheet, and extremely high-grade boxes with GRADE 10 insert! All of these are getting harder to find with the trains. Original box 2379-11 is a grade 9/10. Original box 2379-54 is a grade 10 and has all flaps intact, and no taping. The 2379-54 original box insert is a grade 10. Again, kindly look at the photos of the boxes! The box 2379-54 in this high-grade condition is almost impossible to find! THIS IS THE HIGHEST GRADE 2379-54 THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN! This magnificent high-end Rio Grande pair is definitely for the display shelf or to build an expensive set. From 1957 and in MINT+ condition, TRAINS ARE TOTALLY UN-RUN!> REMEMBER, THESE ARE THE PAIR WITH THE ORANGE SHELL VERSION WITH THE RAISED MOLDED CAB LADDERS! IT IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND MINT+ 2379 RIO GRANDE F-3 ENGINES WITH SUCH A SPECTACULAR NOSE DECAL, PRISTINE ROOFS, AND VERY CRISP HEAT-STAMPING! AN EXCEPTIONAL UNRUN MINT+ SET AND ALL ORIGINAL, WITH EXTREMELY HIGH-GRADE BOXES AND PAPERS! **** Again, kindly look at the photos to see how nice they are!
