This is the 1947 version of the 1666. Numbers are silver stamped, they are not worn ,but both sides have the same weak area,it was from manufacturer.Loco does run and the E-unit works as it should. Both markers are fine, but 1 needs a jewel.Loco needs a piece of valve gear, this part is available on ebay. The steamchest and valve guides are peened to the loco. The letter X is not on the cab inside. This is variation 4 in Doyle book,The Standard Catalog of Lionel Trains, and has a rarity of 5.If you are a variation collecter this is actually a hard loco to find.Body is fine with a few paint chips.I have not cleaned it,the next owner can do so. Buyer pays 12.50 in priority mail Shipping. Payment to be made within 12 hours after being invoiced, please no exceptions.Pay Pal preferred. NO E-Checks,we will refuse them.
