This auction is for a Matched Pair of scarce Lionel Postwar 1952 -54 ERIE ALCO DIESEL AA ENGINES...These super detailed Engines are in EXCELLENT Condition... No cracks - all steps intact ... The original Black & yellow ERIE shells are Excellent condition , nice satin black paint & sharp Lettering , Nose Decals better than most as shown , may have had a couple of decals replaced ...These have famous Lionel heavy duty Pullmore Motor...These also have the Early postwar heavy diecast Metal Frames and Magnatraction for tremendous pulling power ...These Diesels RUN Perfectly! , smooth & strong , even at slow speeds - nice bright headlights on both , three position E-unit cycles correctly...Both sliding shoes are intact and both the automatic Couplers still operate electrically , very clean , Absolutely NO rust , ...this has the battery operated horn and it works Great - amazing ! - the Battery Hole is immaculate with absolutely No Corrosion...the horn relay works fine ... also included : a nice copy of the original Lionel Four Page instruction sheet ... Overall , these are FINE examples of two of Lionel's most desirable DIESEL Locomotives ...a really nice SET and Tough to find with ALL the operating features in top operating condition...
