LIONEL #2322 VIRGINIAN TRAIN MASTER Check out my other items ! Offered for sale is a very attractive Postwar Lionel #2322 Virginian Fairbanks-Morse Train Master Diesel Engine which was produced in 1965 and 1966. This sharp-looking diesel engine is given a rarity rating of "3+" in the TM Rarity Guide, which means that it is an item that is gaining in collector popularity and is getting harder to find. It is in Like New condition: complete and all original, with brilliant colors and crisp markings, and with evidence of having been lightly run. The metal catwalks, the handrails and the end platforms are in an extremely nice, rust-free condition. And, the battery compartment is also exceptionally clean with no corrosion or rust. The roof of the shell and the cab roof are in an unusually perfect condition with no apparent nicks or scratches. The VGN nose decals and the FM side decals are clear and complete, and the yellow, rubber-stamped Virginian lettering on the sides of the unpainted blue body is also virtually perfect. There are the very common screw hole cracks at each end of the body which can be seen in my photos. (The bodies of most of Lionel's FM models were produced slightly longer than the frames which caused the frames to crack when the screws were tightened.)
