This auction is for the Famous Lionel #2332 GG-1 ELECTRIC ENGINE ...The 2332 was the first variation of the Postwar GG-1's , made in 1947-49-I believe this appears to be the Original Paint , either the " Black " variation or an extremely Dark Green and it is is very good condition , but all the stripes have faded away , the Red PRR Keystones on the sides and the Red 2332 Decals on the nose are are all still intact , Really high quality , has the Big Pullmore motor and all heavy Diecast metal shell , Baldwin Disc style Drivers , metal Front AND Rear Trucks w/ Diecast Steps [ all Intact ] - Both Sliding shoe automatic Couplers work remotely ,... shows little wear on wheels and contact rollers , all Headlights and RED Markers intact and shine Brightly...This Big Locomotive RUNS like a Monster , Smooth , STRONG and Quiet , both in Fwd. & Reverse , and the E-unit cycles smoothly...This has the original " Squawk Box " style Horn still inside inside & it does WORK , but we will NOT warranty Horn operation , they are just too finicky ... Both operating pantographs are in Very Good condition , good springs and Insulators ,...Overall this is a decent looking and terrific operating example of one of Lionel's most famous Locomotives , the First Lionel GG-1 Engine !...
