This Postwar Lionel 601 Seaboard NW2 Diesel was manufactured in 1956 and is the Red Stripes with round ends version. The engine is a strong runner and has been well maintained by an adult owner. A hairline crack near the front screw hole of the engine shell has been neatly and permanently repaired. The engine is in great operating condition and is a fine example of Lionel's Postwar's quality in manufacturing. The E-Unit cycles well and the original bell and horns are in place .A nice engine to add to your collection.
