I have been getting a few questions regarding condition / paint color / serial numbers. I will answer all those questions below.
*There are some areas of paint loss/corrosion here and there on this train. Such spots are most evident on the top of the train. I think the pic of the top shows it pretty well.
*The "5344" and "J-1E" on the side of the cab are most definitely metallic silver in color -- not white. In the pics the color might look white but they are silver.
*Here are the identifying numbers/inscriptions I was able to locate on the bottom of the train: 1) "700 E" on top of "125" on the bottom of the front coupler; 2) "700E-4" on the bottom of the front truck; 3) "700E-2" on the bottom of the body of the engine right between the two rear very large wheels; 4) "HUDSON TYPE SERIES 5340 SUPER DETAIL SCALE MODEL ASSEMBLED BY DATE" on a silver name plate on the bottom of the body toward the very rear of the engine -- there is nothing inscribed after "ASSEMBLED BY" or "DATE."
I hope this helps answer most of your questions, but if not, then just email me. Thanks.
