From 1942, a Lionel 1663 locomotive and 2203T tender. The set has been recently serviced by Roundhouse South, an authorized Lionel (and MTH) repair shop in South Daytona, Fl. The locomotive runs and cycles LN. The locomotive appears all original,and is in excellent condition.Problems are few paint chips on the high spots and no marker lights. Otherwise, complete.The tender should be a 2201T. This 2203T tender looks exactly the same. The 2201T tender has a special circuit and Lionel had this locomotive/tender set up with a special reversing unit called "magic electroll". This feature takes a special controller as well as the special 2201 tender. By having the 2203 tender you run the unit like a regular locomotive with any regular o gauge transformer. The locomotive and eunit cylces in sequence like other Lionel locos with a regular transformer. The front coupler must work only with the special controller unit, as I can't get it to uncouple. The tender lights and its coupler works fine. Tender is cast metal and is in excellent condition. All graphis nice. Nice, running example of a rare Lionel item.Bidding starts at my service cost! $100
