This auction is for a vintage Lionel PREWAR #2957 Semi-Scale New York Central Diecast Metal Woodside style CABOOSE ...made from 1940-42 Only , this was one of the super Detailed Freight cars issued as companions for the famous #763 HUDSONS and the B-6 Semi-Scale 0-6-0 SWITCHERS...This rare car is in Excellent overall condition , Nice straight Frame and Rooftop walkways with No Warps or Distortions , Original Tuscan brown Paint has a few small chips as shown , the NYC Logos & Lettering look pretty good as shown , - heavy Diecast metal frame is straight & Solid with the number 2957 & Lionel Corporation New York - Made in the U.S. of AMERICA - Cast onto the frame's bottom , all the Metal Ladders , Handrails & Brakewheels intact , Illuminated Side Marker Lights [ one looks like it has been repaired ].. metal Catwalk & Grab- irons on roof & sides , added under carriage Details - Illumination Interior [ works [ ... Original Prewar trucks w /Box style electro-couplers [ BOTH work ] ... simply One of Lionel BEST -
