Just Reduced!!! This auction lot is from our parent's collections. Dad had a number of trains from when he was young.We can date when items were last viewed or used, by the newspapers they used to store their items.This red caboose with red sides, brass rails and green roof has been lovingly stored in its original boxes since 1957.We looked at some of the trains in his collection in 1977 when dad reorganized his storage area.I remember joking with him as we opened this model that he'd spent a whole month's allowance on this one; all of $1.10 as is shown on the price tag in these pictures.This caboose was purchased in Altoona, PA at a store known as Gables in the late 1930's. As you can see in the pictures, this item is has been stored in what are now extremely fragile boxes.There are what we would describe as the "usual" scratches and dings that would have come from operation of the train on O-27 track laid out on the linoleum of the kitchen or family rooms.Neither of us remember seeing any of these models for this train operate. We have not attempted to run them at this time.My brother and I have gone through a number of items and offer the ones of the most interest at auction.These models are in the original box, and have all parts we know of included.
