On to the listing!Item: Lionel Trains Southern Pacific Dash 9 Diesel Locomotive w/TMCC, Early Railsounds (No tower com or crew talk), Directional Lighting, Electrocouplers+ & Magne-Traction.Lionel Item # : 6-18228Year(s) Made : 1997Fits : AC-Powered O Gauge 3-Rail Track w/TMCC, Legacy Or Conventional Transformer Control.Condition : C8 Like-New condition. I removed the shell, serviced both motors with fresh grease on the armature shafts & worm gears, 3 small drops of synthetic oil on the commutator shafts and fresh grease on the drive gears. It looks, sounds and runs like a brand new locomotive, which it essentially is, aside from the short test run (about 10 minutes total run time) I gave it right after servicing it. It's a very smooth runner even though it's not even fully broken in yet. It can be run in conventional mode, with TMCC or with Legacy. It has "electrocouplers plus", which means the couplers can be fired anywhere on the layout with the Cab 1 or Legacy remote, but it also has magnetic tabs on the couplers so they can be opened on a standard UCS track section. It comes with its original box and styrofoam liner & lid, which are all in near mint condition, original instructions, service station list & warranty card, as well as the snow plow, simulated hoses and Cab 1 diesel locomotive overlay which are all still in the original plastic baggy. The only "issue" is that Lionel forgot to include one of the little ornamental safety chains for the rear walkway.It weighs around 7 lbs packaged for shipment, & insurance will be included, so the shipping cost is relatively high, but you can rest assured that it will be packaged with the utmost care and will arrive safely. Adult signature will be required upon delivery.Packaging : Bubble wrap, foam peanuts & a sturdy cardboard box will insure safe arrival at its new home.*I painstakingly research parts compatibility and add the make(s), model(s) & year(s) whenever possible.
