Nothing quite like the Vintage Lionel Tinplate, the quality of materials and colors. It has been reproduced, but what to do if you want an original that doesn't look like it was dragged behind a truck?I was lucky enough to find a school teacher who had the same idea, and decided to RESTORE the Original Lionel cars. He researched the correct colors, disassembled them, painted and polished all the original metals, then clear coated for long life. As an extra measure, he would take them to the Art dept, and bake the paint on in the kiln at low heat. The result is one of getting a brand new Tinplate Lionel car. These photos really do not show the quality of his work. I have been proud to display them for 10 years, now its time to share them with someone else, who likes the American Made Originals... FREE!
