Description LIONEL TRAINS POSTWAR 3665 U.S.A.F. MINUTEMAN OPERATING BOX CAR, This cool & unique car was produced by Lionel from 1961-'64. A real life model of the "Minuteman" with Strategic Air Command markings! Roof of car opens & launching mechanism elevates to firing position---at this point missile blasts off automatically. Minuteman will "explode" Lionel Target Car on contact. Car will operate with "O27" & "O" gauge Lionel, K-Line, MTH, Williams, and others. Car's body has yellowed with age, its roof appears to be a lighter blue modern day replacement and its rubber diaphragm for the launching mechanism is sticking, so the arm does not raise by itself. Otherwise car is clean and is pleasing to the eye. Winning bidders who have item shipped to PA must pay 6% sales tax. Payment should be received within 10 days of close of auction.
