This Train Transformer was produced by LIONEL from 1950 to 1965. It is known as “LIONEL TRAINmaster Transformer” Type KW with 190 Watts, 115 Volts & 60 Cycles. It is the second strongest transformer made by them. This unit can operate 2 trains with plenty of power and has the power needed for any accessories used. The “A” & “B” control handles along with the directional button work independently of each other but the whistle lever is shared along with the circuit breaker function. The case has no cracks. But over the years of usage, t are some minor scratches on it.

This unit has been serviced to the point of it being almost a refurbish unit. The items replaced or upgraded on it are: a new 18 gauge power cord with a sealed plug, 2 new Carbon Rollers & Pins, New Rectifier Disk, New Upgraded Sealed 10 AMP Circuit Breaker, New Whistle Handle, & New “A” & “B” Black Knobs with caps. A copy of the original operating instructions will also come with it. It also has the original Lionel Box with it. It has all 4 flaps.

The Coil has been cleaned removing any excess carbon. The unit voltage output was checked and all readings were within Lionel specifications. The circuit breaker was tested and it function correctly and reset itself again within Lionel specifications.

The original box is included with this transformer. It will shipped doubled boxed for protection by the USPS Priority mail. Using the calculation option, you can find the shipping/handling cost for it. Insurance is available for an extra cost: $2.15 for coverage up to $100, $2.60 For cover up to $200. Buyer accepts full responsibility if insurance is not purchased.
