The King of Lionel Transformers! This is a very nice looking Lionel ZW transformer. The base of the transformer is marked "Model ZW (R)". It will run 4 trains at once with plenty of power to spare! For something that is in the neighborhood of 40-50 years old, outside of a few scrapes on the case and some very slight rusting on the base, it looks almost new! The case is in good condition , t are are no cracks or pieces missing. The metal base plate is in very good condition. When plugged in, it is very quiet, with only a slight hum that is perfectly normal for this type of transformer. A copy of the instructions is included. You won't go wrong bidding on this transformer! This is our 4th year of selling Lionel Transformers and we've never had a dissatisfied or disappointed customer! It has been professionally serviced and tested. The line cord has been replaced with a new cord so you don't have to worry about a dangerous dried out cord. The rollers have been checked and replaced w needed. All solder joints have been checked and resoldered w needed. The binding posts on the rear have been checked and replaced if they showed the slightest bit of looseness. The circuit breaker and short circuit indicator light and pilot light have been tested. All output voltages have been tested to be within Lionel specifications. The direction and whistle functions have been tested for both sides of the transformer. In addition this transformer was independently tested using an actual Lionel train layout to be absolutely certain it was fully functional.
