Stylish woman with fur collar.Frank Stanley Herring (1894 - 1966) was active/lived in Georgia, New YorkIn 1946 Frank Herring and his wife, Francis Herring, established the Burnsville Painting Classes (also Known as SeeCelo) in conjunction with another artist, Edward Shorter. Located in the old Mount Mitchell's Boys camp in Burnsville, N.C., the school grew to national recognition over a 20 year period, continuing until 1966.At that time with the blessings of the Herrings, the school was transitioned over to artists Everett Kivette and John Bryans who carried on the tradition.The school is still in existence.Frank Stanley Herring, a portrait painter, was born March 20, 1894, in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, and lived in New York City and Milledgeville, Georgia.
